Economic Assistance for Muscatine Small Businesses


The City of Muscatine has established a loan program designed to support businesses significantly impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. While the City encourages and supports the success of all businesses, the Economic Assistance for Muscatine Small Businesses program is intended to assist previously stable, small businesses manage the impact of the public health crisis and rebound as quickly as possible.   

The program will provide up to $2,500 to assist small businesses manage decreases in income or increases in expenses to address health and safety measures. Businesses must have been established and in operation no later than May 1, 2019.  Funds will be provided as a forgivable loan and can be used for normal business expenses such as: rent or mortgage, business insurance premiums, commercial real estate property taxes, utilities, personnel expenses and inventory.
